With the election in sight Gordon Brown calls on a old friend...

Created by Me Mr Dalek!

Knocked up!

In the seventh episode of the series Amy's Choice Amy is set to get pregnant! This happens five years  into the future from when the Doctor and Amy started on their travels in the Tardis so quite a bit has changed you can assume. Rory's even got a ponytail (thats just wrong)! But whos the daddy is it Rory or a alien like the Nostrovite in Torchwood's Something Borrowed. I read somewhere it may even be The Doctors! I hope not i think that would ruin the character of The Doctor for me. The enemy for the story is supposed to be The Dream Lord so is it all a dream?.... That would be the worst ending to a story if it is!

The Time Of Angels Review *** ( 3 stars)

Best bit: The Angel using sacred/scared Bob to talk to the Doctor. "They snapped my neck Sir.."
Worst bit: The cliffhanger isnt the usual "How are they going to get out of this?" type were used to.
Best Character: River Song. Ive warmed to her but she has a dark secret I can tell.
Line of the episode: The Doctor: Yeah? Well, it's boring now, isn't it? They're boring-ers! Blue boring-ers!

From Daleks to another familiar foe The Weeping Angels and what a first part. I liked it so you may wonder why I gave it 3 stars? Well its a first part and if the second part is as good ill give it a 5 but until then its a 3. So the story itself reintroduced us to the Weeping angels and River Song and for once everything wasnt crammed in.The story built up the tension nicely not revealing to much and not to little. The catacombs were a good move creating a beautifully creepy atmosphere that fitted the Angel perfectly. The Doctor got to have a bit of fun with the arguing with River and they seem like a old married couple.Im not to sure about the Angels new powers they seem a bit strange but they are still very freaky. Theres not much else to say as this is a two part story but if the Moff can sustain the tension in the next episode then im sure it will be a Blink beater.Until next time bye sweeties.....

The Time Of Angels Overnight ratings

Overnight viewing figures show that The Time of Angels was watched by 6.8million.6.5million tuned into BBC One, and an additional 0.3million tuned on on the BBC HD channel to see the return of The Weeping Angels. The episode had a 36.7% share of the total television audience, making it the 2nd most watched programme of the day second too Britains Got Talent. The official figures will be released soon and posted on this blog.

Norton returns! *Update*

It was tense, dark and scary and the cliffhanger was building up. But then a cartoon irish talent show host and comedian Graham Norton popped telling us Over the rainbow a "talent" show hosted by him is up next! On twitter the legendary Charlie Brooker wrote:

"Why don’t the BBC just wipe s*** all over the screen during the final scene of Dr. Who next week? I hope Moffat is bellowing down a phone to someone right now."

"I hope they trail the news with an animated George Alagiah in the final scene of Over the Rainbow."

Norton first intruded on Doctor who during the episode Rose when crossed wires resulted in a audio feed of his BBC Three programme being transmitted across the first episode of the relaunched Doctor Who series. I have to say i didnt notice it! It either didnt come up in Wales or I was too immersed in the drama. I do remember him interupting Rose though. You could complain to the BBC or contact Points Of View were lots of angry people like to complain.

*Update* The BBC have apologised and issued this statement:
The BBC often promotes programmes in this way but the corporation has acknowledged that in this case the scheduling was inappropriate. A BBC spokesman said: "We apologise for the timing of Saturday night's trail."
 Do we forgive them now?

BBC confirm the first Adventure Game details.

The BBC has today released the title and plot details for the first instalment of Doctor Who: The Adventure Games.

The TARDIS materializes in 1963 - and London is in ruins. The Daleks have seized control of time and the only chance of saving Earth lies in a desperate quest to Skaro, the Daleks' home planet - before time catches up with Amy, the last survivor of the human race!

Co-writer Phil Ford, said:
“This is quite a series opener. We destroy London even before the credits role – so you can only begin to imagine where we travel to from there. City of the Daleks is as big-budget as you can imagine: from London we head to Kaalann, the capital city of the Daleks, one constructed from pure anger and hate. And these new Daleks don’t like to be messed with, so players are about to enjoy a new interactive episode which is as heart-pulsing as anything you’ve seen before.”

City of the Daleks will be available to download from the official Doctor Who website from 5th June. Here is the clip that was shown after Victory Of the Daleks on Saturday that i forgot to post:

Fox pull out of American Torchwood

The Fox network that was going to produce American version of the Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood have withdrawn.

BBC Worldwide have released this statement:
BBC Worldwide Productions and the FOX Broadcasting Company have mutually agreed not to progress together with a 13-episode serialized 'Torchwood' format. We are currently in discussion with several interested networks.

The news of a US Torchwood was first reported in January this year.Tranter who would have acted as executive producers said that despite the withdrawal of Fox from the project, it is "still very much ongoing and very much alive."

I think the idea of a American Torchwood was a bad one anyway, theres only one team Torchwood  and so they should concentrate on the one we have now!

Bubble Shock! (SJA:Invasion of the Bane)

Matt Smith to star in The Sarah Jane Adventures

Matt Smith will follow in David Tennants footsteps as he will star in The Sarah Jane Adventures, the BBC has announced.

In the two-part story, The Doctor will be reunited with Sarah Jane and companion to The Third Doctor Jo Grant.Russell T Davies, executive producer on Sarah Jane and former Doctor Who showrunner will write the episode.

     Russell talks of the episode:
"It's a fantastic script and I can't wait to work with another Doctor and hope Matt has fun with us," said Sladen. "I've known Katy for ages and I am delighted to be working with her. I last met her in LA but this time we will be in Cardiff. LA was good but Cardiff is better."

Jo Grant actress Katy Manning has said:
"Playing Jo Grant again is something I never really considered. I was gobsmacked when they told me and I am over the moon. What an incredible little treat. I come home [to the UK] and this is one of the first things that happens."

Nikki Wilson, co-executive producer on the series said:
"Viewers are in for a real treat, with an action-packed story, full of Russell's usual wit and warmth, which takes the gang inside a secret base beneath Snowdon and introduces brand new vulture aliens, the mysterious Shansheeth. All this, plus a trip to an alien planet - a first for The Sarah Jane Adventures."

Other guest stars for the fourth series will include Laila Rouass (Primeval), Cheryl Campbell and Harry Potter's David Bradley as the voice of the Shansheeth. One thing I want to know is what about Amy Pond?

Victory of The Daleks Review *** 1/2 (3 and a Half Stars)

Best bit: The Daleks pretending to be all nice.Just brilliant!
Worst bit: Not seeing the new Daleks in action much.
Best Character: Winston Churchill .Oh yes!
Line of the episode: Amy: Oi! Churchill! Tardis keys. The ones you just took from the Doctor.
After last weeks episode that left some feeling as though they had Deja-Vu last nights episode brought us something completely new! New Daleks, new writer (for this series) and a original plot. So the Story was geared up to introduce new primary colour Daleks that some may like others dont. I actually really like them just give them time to grow on you. I felt as though the last 15 minuites could have been used a bit better instead of them being padded out with Bracewell getting de-activated and a little more air time for the daleks was needed. This is forgiven  because of the presence of the fabulous Winston Churchill played by Ian Mcneice. Him and Matt had a good on screen friendship and its fun to think of The Doctor and Winston meeting in the past. This is easily the best Dalek episode since Doomsday and the best of the series so far. Amy once again steps in and saves everyone and another scottish mention or person ( ok scotland is great already!) needs to be changed a bit to keep the plots fresh though the scottish thing is just me being nitpicky. Another crack sighting and how come Amy dosent know about the Daleks? She couldnt have missed them surely.Until next week Keep Buggering on! Can you say bugger at teatime?

Victory of the Daleks Overnight ratings

Overnight viewing figures for, Victory of The Daleks have revealed that it has achieved 6.2m viewers and a 32.7 share of the audience and 231,000 watched it on the HD channel. This is a drop in the ratings yet again but this is before all the recordings etc have been added up so im sure we will be close to 8 milion when the BARB releas the final figures.

    Victory Of The Daleks Tonight!

After last weeks okay episode I think we may be back on track with The Daleks meeting The New Doctor for the first time. So here it is your third episode of the series which will have new colour Daleks, jammie dodgers, tea, spitfires, Churchill oh and a Victory! Tune in to BBC1 at 6:30pm for all this Whoness! And dont forget conifdential on BBC3 afterwards.

This dosent happen to The Doctor!

Ive been trying to get my hands on a Series 5 Sonic Screwdriver for two weeks now to go with my Series 5 Crash set. While browesing the online stores i found out that the people who are lucky enough to get one are having problems with them. On Amazon UK the popular online shopping store a few reviewers have encountered problems with the sound amongst other things.

    One reviewer said:
This a great toy/replica and the sliding machanism seems very sturdy (which I wasn't expecting). However, only after having it two days the sound has stopped working - it literally stopped "mid-buzz". A change of batteries has not fixed it either. Looks like there is a real flaw with the electronics.....

    Another wrote:
Had 3 of these in the space of 24 hours and each one had, or quickly developed, a fault. Either the light packs in, the sound goes or both give up. Because the batteries supplied are for demo, people seem to think it is a battery fault - it is not! Changing the batteries makes no difference.

Though one person hasnt encountered any problems yet:
I've seen your reviews and seen that there are loads of faults for your sonic screwdrivers so far ive had no problems at all apart from getting the batteries in that was a nightmare but it sounds works perfectly

Maybe there might just be a problem with this batch being sold on Amazon although some have had little problems on Play.com. My advice wait a little or buy them in a shop so they are easily returnable.Have you had any problems let me know and ill post your problem :)

How many lives does a Timelord have?

Its a question we have all wanted to know the answer too and we might just get one this series. It was thought to be 12 lives but we dont actually know for sure.

Speaking to Sci fi site Newsarama Moffats says:
“It’s been addressed in a very, very cheeky way by an old friend of mine and I’m not going to tell you any more about that, wait and see.”

Also Matt Smith had this to say about the series Arc:
Smith told the crowd it’s seen in the very first episode. “Albeit, not in the most conventional form. You’re going to have to think about it and find out what it is, but it’s in there,” he said. “And that’s the one, that’s what takes us through the whole series and my god, it’s bad.”

Lets hope this isnt all the same waffle Russel T Davies gave us during his era hyping it up and  turning out to be not that good in the end. Im sure it will be brilliant!  Thanks to Whoviannet for alerting me to this :) The whole interview thingy is here.

    Did you know?

Gareth David Lloyd pens Torchwood comic

Ianto Jones actor Gareth David-Lloyd has written a new comic for the new issue of Torchwood Magazine #21.

David-Lloyd’s character, Ianto Jones, who died in Captain Jack’s arms in the recent Torchwood five-part series Children of Earth,’ gets a new lease of life and takes centre stage once again in this exclusive comic strip - a move that will delight all fans of the critically acclaimed Doctor Who spin-off.

Talking exclusively to the official Torchwood magazine, David-Lloyd said, "I feel I know this character implicitly. The narrative of this comic focuses predominantly on Ianto, and integrates a number of characters who have been missed by Torchwood'’s ardent followers."

The story, titled Shrouded, is made up of two parts and is as diverse as it is thrilling. Ianto, who struggles with his tumultuous feelings for Captain Jack from the offset, has his world turned upside-down by the visit of a familiar face from the future. Additionally, he is set a mission that could alter the course of life, as he knows it, forever...

The Beast Below Review *** 1/2 (Three and a Half Stars)

Best bit: The Star Whale  flying the people of Starship UK through space because it wanted too. Awwww...
Worst bit:The Smiler/Humans what was the point of that?
Best Character: Liz Ten! "I'm the bloody queen mate!"
Line of the episode: The Doctor: Sorry, checking all the water in this area; there's an escaped fish.

So we're off and straight into the action with a trip into the far future on board the Starship UK. My rating may seem a bit low but i gave last weeks four stars and i didnt think it was as good so thats why. Anyway first off the story and basically its a bit like Torchwood's Meat crossed with Doctor Who's Gridlock. In Meat some dodgy butchers were using a space whale as a food product and selling it off and a simular theme in The Beast Below was the Star Whale being used for human needs. The Gridlock connection is just the beast being hidden like the Macra and lots of people oblivious to whats going on. Also i got a feeling of Planet Of the Ood with the whole brain buisness and the sound the beast was making. I mean it was a good story but i think there were a few missed oportunities like futher exploration of the ship and a few more action scenes. Now onto characters and Liz Ten was brilliant! I also liked the little girl helping The Doctor and Amy and it seems to be a bit of a theme to the series. The Smilers were seriously underused and they werent as scary as they could have been. The Star Whale was the highlight for me. I felt sad  for it and we hadnt even seen it properly at that stage. I thought it ws brilliant the parallels between it and The Doctor helping people in need. A nice ending with Amy truly understanding The Doctor better than any other companion and another crack ( not that kind of crack ) sighting! So next week the daleks are back and its going to be brilliant! Until then GERONIMOOOOO (Told you i'd get a catchphrase i know its The Doctors but too bad its mine now!)

      The Beast Below Overnight ratings

Last night’s broadcast of The Beast Below was watched on BBC One by an audience of 6.4million, with an additional 330,000 tuning in in HD.When the figures are added together, the episode has an overnight rating of around 6.7million, making it the most watched programme of the day with an audience share of 34%. Final BARB figures will be released later this month. A bit if a drop in ratings maybe it was the good weather? Source

The Sarah Jane Series 4 news

Some new information has emerged about the next series of the Sarah Jane Adventures starting this Autumn on BBC One from the popular Sci-Fi mag SFX.

There will be a new member joining the gang and possibly one leaving! If you have seen pictures from filming recentley then it might give you a clue.Sarah Jane and her gang will encounter new enemies, such as the Nightmare Man and the Shansheeth. Returning aliens will include Androvax from Prisoner of the Judoon  and the Slitheen/Blathereen, who will  have a smaller role to play this series (Thank God!). There'll also be a 'classic' Who character coming onto the show.Maybe The Fourth Doctor Tom Baker as some have rumoured? The Brigadier? For the first time in the series, the group will visit an alien world and the group will embark on a "dangerous journey back into history".Wilson concludes hinting to the possibility of Matt Smith meeting the SJA gang one day. I would love to see Sarah getting to grips with a new Doctor all over again.
